# Tart Cherry Lima Highball

Tart cherry juice is dense, dark, and almost too much on its own. It wants acid and dilution, and a glass of ice and citrus-forward mineral water gives it both without any additional work.

Three minutes, no shaker, no muddling, no syrup to make. This is the build for the end of a long day, and its virtue is that you will actually make it.

## The Recipe

**Makes 1 · 3 minutes**

### Ingredients

- Ice cubes
- 2 oz tart cherry juice
- 0.5 oz agave nectar
- 5 oz Tehuacan Brillante Lima
- 1 fresh lime wheel
- 1 fresh sweet cherry

### Method

1. Fill a plain Collins or highball glass to the top with ice cubes.
2. Pour the tart cherry juice and agave nectar directly over the ice.
3. Stir gently with a bar spoon to mix the juice and syrup.
4. Top with Tehuacan Brillante Lima, letting the bubbles mix the drink further.
5. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and a sweet cherry dropped into the glass.

### Notes

Tart cherry, not sweet cherry juice. The label matters — sweetened cherry drink turns this cloying, and you already have agave in the glass for balance.

Stir before the top-up, not after. Cherry juice is heavy and will sit at the bottom of the glass if you leave the mixing to the bubbles.
